About this event
Holroyd Rangers Academy is holding one final assessment session before it decides which age groups it enters into its first Sydney Premier League campaign. It is on Monday 10 August 2026, in two blocks: - 5:30pm – 6:25pm — Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, Under 10 - 6:30pm – 7:25pm — Under 11, Under 12, Under 14 Read the club's instructions carefully before going. If your child trialled in the first round and was invited back, they are expected to attend. If you have already been told your child was unsuccessful, the club asks you not to come. If your child missed the first round and you would still like them considered, this is the last chance — but you must complete the Expression of Interest before attending. Anyone who has already submitted one does not need to do it again. There is no Under 13 session listed. The club's original entry form offered boys U7–U12 plus U14, and girls U11 and U13 only, so a U13 girl was eligible to apply but has no slot here. Ring the club before Monday if that is you. The club has been clear that it will only enter teams where it has enough players of the required standard, so not every age group trialled will necessarily field a squad.
Who it suits
Players who trialled in the first round and were asked back, and anyone U7–U12 or U14 who missed that round and still wants to be seen. The program is an add-on rather than a move — players stay at their current club and train Mondays and Fridays with two SPL games on Sundays — so it suits a child with capacity for a lot more football.
Before you register
- The announcement did NOT name the ground. The club is based at Guildford West Sportsground and its academy sessions run there, but confirm before travelling — call 0450 223 230.
- Turn up for the right block: 5:30–6:25pm for U7–U10, 6:30–7:25pm for U11, U12 and U14.
- No U13 session is listed, even though the entry form advertised a U13 girls band. If your daughter is U13, ring the club before Monday rather than turning up.
- If your child missed the first trial you must submit the EOI BEFORE attending. If you already submitted one, do not submit again.
- Do not attend if the club has already told you your child was unsuccessful — the post asks specifically that you don't.
- This is the last trial. There will be no further sessions before selections are finalised.
- Even after trialling, an age group may not run — the club will only enter teams where it has enough players at the required standard.
- No fees have been published for the SPL program. Ask what a season costs before committing.
