About this event
The Inner West Cup is an end-of-season tournament run by Inter Lions FC across Majors Bay Reserve and surrounding fields at Concord. The Saturday programme is the U7 to U12 competition, played 7v7. There are two divisions in each age group, one pitched at elite teams and one at association-level teams, so a side does not have to be a representative squad to enter and get competitive games. Entry is by team at $800 per team, so this is something you enter through your existing club or coach rather than signing up an individual player. Register at innerwestcup.com.au.
Who it suits
Teams looking for one more competitive weekend after the winter season finishes. The two-division format means both rep-level and ordinary club teams get matches against similar opposition.
Before you register
- The club's own post describes Saturday as U7–U12 boys, while the tournament website lists U7–U12 as mixed. If you have a girl under 10 this matters — the girls' divisions start at U10 on the Sunday, so ask the organisers directly whether she can play Saturday.
- Entry is per team ($800), not per player — check with your coach whether your club is entering and what your share of the fee is.
