M G Academy (also known as MacArthur Goalkeeping Academy) has confirmed a trial day for its 2026/27 Sydney Premier League squads: Sunday 23 August 2026 at Ambarvale Sports Complex in Campbelltown. The SPL season starts in October. Trials are age-tiered, and the running order has changed from the academy's earlier August session: - Under 7 and Under 8: 12:00pm - Mixed Under 11 and Under 12: 1:15pm - Under 9 and Under 10: 2:40pm - Combined Girls Under 10–11 and Under 12–13: 4:00pm As at 12 August the academy said its Under 9 squad is full and it still needs 5 players at Under 10. No time has been published for Under 13 or Under 14 on this day, although both are still offered as squads on the entry form. If that is your child's age group, confirm with the academy before travelling. The season fee is $390, which includes uniforms and registration. If your child is selected, a $100 deposit is due within three days of the trial. Academy training sessions are $5 each. The academy says it is looking for ambitious players who want to train and compete at the highest level and who are committed to excellence on and off the pitch. The SPL is an independent summer competition that sits outside the Football NSW pathway. Register through the academy's online trial form before attending.

Before you register

• If your child is Under 13 or Under 14, confirm with the academy BEFORE travelling. The published timetable for this day has no U13 or U14 slot, even though both are still offered as squads on the entry form.
• The times have changed since the academy's earlier August session, and so has the order. The girls bands are now LAST at 4:00pm, not first: U7–U8 12:00pm, Mixed U11–U12 1:15pm, U9–U10 2:40pm, combined Girls U10–11 and U12–13 4:00pm.
• This academy has changed or extended its trial arrangements three times in the past week, publishes nothing on a website, and its entry form carries no dates. Confirm on its Facebook page before setting off.
• The ground is Ambarvale Sports Complex on Parkside Crescent, Campbelltown — but the complex has several soccer fields, so check which one you are meeting at.
• As at 12 August the Under 9 squad was FULL and Under 10 still needed 5 players. Ask about your age group before committing — these numbers move fast.
• The season fee is $390, including uniforms and registration. Budget for a $100 deposit within three days if your child is selected, and $5 per academy training session on top.
• The SPL is an independent competition outside the Football NSW pathway, and your child does not have to leave their existing club to take part — ask how training and game days fit around their current commitments.
