About this event

MGT Football Academy is running an open trial for its Season 1 2027 Sydney Premier League squads at Blacktown Football Park, Rooty Hill, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. It is open to boys and girls across the full Under 6 to Under 12 range. This is an open trial, not an invitation one: the academy says to come down and show what you've got. It is looking to strengthen its squads before the season, and says it will run tournaments in the lead-up to Season 1 so players are match-ready. To register your interest, email Matt at matt@mgtfootball.com.au. There is no online form, and no trial fee or season fee is published — worth asking what a place costs before your child commits. The Sydney Premier League is an independent competition outside the Football NSW pathway, so players can usually keep playing for their normal club alongside it. Confirm that with the academy if it matters to you.

Who it suits

Western Sydney families with a child from Under 6 to Under 12 who want competitive football outside the Football NSW pathway, and who are comfortable with an open trial rather than a scouted invitation.

Before you register

  • Confirm the date and time with the academy before travelling
  • Email matt@mgtfootball.com.au to register your interest; there is no online form
  • Ask what a place costs — no fee is published anywhere
