About this event

The Mitre National Futsal Championships are Australia's biggest futsal competition, and the 2027 edition runs from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 January 2027 at the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre, Carrara, in Queensland. You cannot enter this one. Each state sends selected teams, and for NSW players the way in is the Football NSW futsal state team trials — held on 20 September, 4 October and 11 October 2026, with expressions of interest closing 11 October. If your child is trialling for a NSW futsal state team this season, these championships in January are what they are trialling for. Junior divisions at the 2026 championships ran Under 12 to Under 16 for boys and Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 for girls, alongside youth and open men's and women's grades and an open all-abilities division. Football Australia had not published the confirmed 2027 division list when we checked, so treat those as indicative. Families of selected players should plan for interstate travel and a full week on the Gold Coast in the middle of the summer holidays.
