Sutherland Shire Football Association runs ten weeks of six-a-side at Kareela on Thursday and Friday nights, from 15 and 16 October to 17 and 18 December 2026. Under 6 to Under 10 divisions are non-competitive.

About this event
The Sutherland Shire Football Association runs Summer Sixes at the Kareela synthetic fields over ten weeks: Thursdays from 15 October to 17 December 2026, and Fridays from 16 October to 18 December. Which night you play depends on your age group: - Thursdays — Under 8 to Under 10 mixed and girls, Under 12 boys and girls, all-age men and women - Fridays — Under 6 to Under 10 mixed and girls, Under 12 to Under 16 boys and girls For the younger players, Under 6 to Under 10, the association runs it as participation football: no results, no ladders, just more football with friends. Fees are $85 a player for Under 6, $95 for Under 8 to Under 12, $105 for Under 14 to Under 16 and $140 for all age. Squads need at least six players and can register up to ten. You submit a team expression of interest rather than registering directly.
Who it suits
Shire families who want short, high-touch six-a-side games — and particularly parents of young children who would rather a no-ladder, participation format.
Before you register
- Check your night: some age groups play Thursday, some Friday, and Under 8-10 appear on both
- Under 6 to Under 10 divisions have no results or ladders
- You need a squad of at least six; up to ten can register
- Entry is by team expression of interest, not direct registration
