About this event
Sutherland Sharks hold their 2027 Junior Development League trials at Seymour Shaw Stadium, Miranda, on Sunday 6 September 2026 — the first day Football NSW permits JDL trials for the 2027 season. Session times by age group: - U9 — arrive 8:30am, start 9:00am, finish 10:30am - U10 — arrive 10:15am, start 10:45am, finish 12:00pm - U11 — arrive 11:45am, start 12:15pm, finish 1:30pm - U12 — arrive 1:15pm, start 1:45pm, finish 3:00pm Two conditions the club sets out. Players must live within the Sutherland Shire local government area to be considered for selection. And players are asked to wear plain training attire with shin pads and boots — no representative, academy or club kit. Unlike the club's Youth League trials, this one is not invitation-only: the Sharks say every applicant who registers is invited to trial. The club's Boys Youth League stream (U13 to U18) works differently — those trials are invite-only for 2027, and if you have not had an email invitation the club is not running an open session for you.
Who it suits
Sutherland Shire families with a child in U9 to U12 who want a shot at a selective junior squad, including players who have not been scouted — everyone who registers gets a trial.
