About this event
The WGM Macarthur Cup is Macarthur Football Association's free four-day pre-season tournament for U8–U12 boys' and girls' teams, hosted at Lynwood Park during the July 2026 school holidays. The cup runs Tuesday 14 July to Friday 17 July with each day dedicated to specific age bands: U10 Mixed (Tue AM), U9 Girls and U10 Girls (Tue PM), U12 Mixed (Wed AM), U11 Girls and U12 Girls (Wed PM), U8 Mixed and U8 Girls (Thu AM), U9 Mixed (Thu PM), and U11 Mixed (Fri AM). Backed by Wests Group Macarthur, the event is open to local grassroots teams, MSAP teams and Football NSW JDL teams in 7-a-side or 9-a-side formats, with each team guaranteed at least three games. Entry is via an Expression of Interest from team managers and is free — EOIs close on Thursday 9 July 2026.
Who it suits
Best for full U8–U12 teams across grassroots, MSAP (Macarthur Skill Acquisition Program) and JDL pathways looking for a competitive pre-season hit-out. Suited to families in Macarthur, South West Sydney and Western Sydney — Lynwood Park is the host and games run a single half-day per team.
Before you register
- Have your team manager submit the EOI before Thursday 9 July 2026 — late entries are not accepted.
- Confirm your age group's day and session — each band only plays one half-day across the four-day window.
- Check whether your team plays 7-a-side or 9-a-side for your age band — the format varies by competition.
- Ask whether your existing JDL or MSAP team can enter together (mixed pathways are welcome — open to grassroots, MSAP and JDL).
Independent listing — Stride Football is not affiliated with Macarthur District Football Association. Confirm details with the organiser before registering.
