About
King Park Public School is a NSW government primary school in Wakeley, in Sydney's south-west (established 1973). In partnership with Westfields Sports High School, it runs a full-year, in-school high-performance football program for primary-aged players (U8–U12) that sits alongside their normal schooling and is external to club football. Selected students train roughly 120 mornings a year (Monday, Thursday and Friday), play five tournaments integrated into the school day, and receive detailed technical, tactical, physical and mental reports, twice-yearly physical benchmark testing, specialised sprint training (with ex-professional Hayley Butler), match analysis and video review, plus nutrition, cooking and leadership sessions — with opportunities to train alongside Westfields Sports High School's Year 7 students. The program is open to in-area and out-of-area applicants, including students from non-government schools; students must trial and be accepted to join.
