JDL (mixed)

Central Coast Mariners are taking expressions of interest for their 2026/27 Junior Development League squads. One form covers both Mixed JDL and Girls JDL. A-League academies

Entry to the Mariners academy for 2026/27 is by open expression of interest rather than invitation. The academy opportunities page carries two player EOIs: Youth NPL, covering boys and girls, and JDL, whose single form covers both Girls JDL and Mixed JDL. No trial dates, venue, fee or closing date has been published, and the club has previously noted it may not trial age groups whose squads are already full.
Private academy squads — IFA
Competitive squads run by private academies in Independent Football Australia leagues. Paid programs outside the Football NSW pathway — check fees and level fit before committing.
U9–U12
Trials: IFA Summer trials at Football Hub, Umina, 4:00pm to 5:00pm — U9 Friday 21 August, U10 Friday 28 August, and U11 and U12 together Friday 4 September 2026. Advertised for advanced players only. Register through the academy's IFA Summer EOI form before attending rather than turning up. The age-group dates come from the academy's social post, so confirm yours with the academy before travelling.
Public EOI now open via Google Form, covering ECSA's 2026 Summer IFA competition (Oct–Nov 2026) and the 2027 IFA season. Boys and girls, and players can keep representing their local club while playing for ECSA. Independent Football Australia is an independent academy competition, with fixtures played at the Western Sydney Wanderers facility. Trials are run before final squad selection and positions are limited across age groups.

U8–U12
Trials: EOI open for Crew's SPL Season 3 squads, U8–U12 — eight weeks of Friday training plus two games each weekend, played in Sydney. No trial date published; submit the EOI or email info@crewfootball.com.
A Central Coast academy, based around North Gosford, entering Sydney Premier League Season 3 at U8–U12 — an independent summer competition outside the Football NSW pathway. Weigh the travel first: SPL fixtures are played in Sydney, so it is a round trip every weekend of the season on top of Friday training. The academy says eight weeks across Oct–Nov 2026, while other Season 3 entrants document the competition running to 6 Dec — ask which applies. No fee published.

Trials: Trial dates have not been announced. The academy is taking expressions of interest for its 2026/27 Youth NPL squads now and will contact registered players with dates.

One form covers both boys and girls — the club runs a single Youth NPL registration rather than separate ones. The club has not published which age groups it is recruiting, so check the form before you fill it in. No closing date and no fee are published. The academy is also taking expressions of interest for an Under 10 Mixed JDL squad on a separate form.
