U9–U12

Trials: Trials start Sun 6 Sep 2026 at Ian McLennan Park — Mixed JDL U9 & U10 9:00am to 10:30am (arrive 8:30am), U11 & U12 10:45am to 12:15pm (arrive 9:45am). Round 2 on Tue 8 Sep and a third round Thu 10 Sep are by invitation only.

South Coast Flame is continuing as a standalone club. Football South Coast and the South Coast Flame Community Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding securing the club's future and its player development pathways, including the JDL. Trials and expressions of interest are going ahead as planned; some transition details are still being finalised.

Trials: Trials at Lakelands Oval, Dapto — Sun 6 Sep 2026 age-tiered (U10 9:00am, U11 10:30am, U12 12:00pm, U13 1:30pm), then Tue 8 and Thu 10 Sep (U10 & U11 5:00pm, U12 & U13 6:30pm). Times come from a Facebook post — confirm with the club before travelling.

Illawarra Stingrays' Girls JDL squads for 2027. Trial times are published on the club's Facebook page but not its website, so confirm them with the club before travelling. South Coast Flame is trialling its Girls JDL on the same three days, so the Sunday sessions clash if you are considering both clubs. The same EOI form covers JDL and Youth/senior squads — select the right pathway when you submit.

U10–U13

Trials: Trials start Sun 6 Sep 2026 at Ian McLennan Park — Girls JDL U10 to U13 all trial together, 8:30am to 10:00am (arrive 8:00am). Round 2 on Tue 8 Sep is 4:30pm to 5:45pm by invitation, with a third round Thu 10 Sep if needed.

South Coast Flame's Girls JDL expression of interest is open, on the same form as the club's Mixed JDL squads — choose the right stream when you register. All four girls age groups trial together in a single session, so there is one time to remember. Round one on 6 September is open to everyone who has registered; the later rounds are invitation only. Girls in Under 14 and above trial for Girls Youth League from 28 September instead. No trial or season fee is published.

Trials: Trials start Mon 28 Sep 2026 at Ian McLennan Park — U13 & U14 4:15pm to 5:45pm (arrive 3:45-4:00pm), U15 & U16 6:00pm to 7:30pm (arrive 5:30pm), U18 7:30pm to 9:00pm (arrive 7:15pm). Round 2 on Wed 30 Sep and a third round Fri 2 Oct are by invitation only.

South Coast Flame's Youth Boys expression of interest is open, with its own form separate from the club's JDL registration. The club publishes three age bands — U13/U14, U15/U16 and U18 — and no Under 17 session, so contact the club if that is your child's age group. Round one on 28 September is open to everyone who has registered; the later rounds are invitation only. No trial or season fee is published.

Trials: No Youth trial dates have been announced. The club has published trial dates for its Girls JDL age groups (U10–U13) only.

2027 player expression of interest open for Illawarra Stingrays' Youth and senior girls squads, via the club's Jotform. Trial dates have so far been published only for its Girls JDL age groups (U10–U13) — nothing yet for Youth. The same form covers JDL and Youth/senior squads, so select the right pathway when you submit.

U14–U18

Trials: Trials start Mon 28 Sep 2026 at Illawarra Sports High School, Berkeley — U14 & U15 5:00pm to 6:15pm (arrive 4:30pm), U16 to U18 6:30pm to 7:45pm (arrive 6:00pm). Round 2 on Wed 30 Sep and a third round Fri 2 Oct are by invitation only. Note the venue differs from the club's other trials.

South Coast Flame's Youth Girls expression of interest is open, with its own form separate from the club's JDL registration. These are the club's only trials held at Illawarra Sports High School — the JDL and Youth Boys sessions are at Ian McLennan Park. Round one on 28 September is open to everyone who has registered; the later rounds are invitation only. No trial or season fee is published.

U7–U14

Trials: Trial 6–8pm Friday 14 August 2026 at UOW Oval 1, University of Wollongong. Register at lwfa.com.au/ftp beforehand — the academy states all players must be registered via the website to take part.

2027 Full-Time Program; players compete in the Sydney Premier League. Year-round U7–U14 squads, including a U13/14s squad added after the SPL introduced that age group. The academy announced a single official trial for 6–8pm on Friday 14 August 2026 at UOW Oval 1, Wollongong — registration via lwfa.com.au/ftp is required to attend. No fee is published for the trial or the program. Note the trial date came from the academy's social announcement; it was not on lwfa.com.au as at 4 August 2026, so confirm before travelling.

Trials: No trial dates yet. Football South Coast says trial information and key dates will be published as the Academy is set up.

Football South Coast is setting up the FSC Academy for the 2027 season and has opened a registration form. Read this before you fill it in: the association says registering is not part of the trial or selection process — it only puts you on the list to be kept informed. It will not put your child in the trial pool. Age groups and which genders the Academy covers have not been published yet, and neither have trial dates or fees.
